All the best

StumbleUpon!

Man after that video! Seems to me that about the most powerful thing the main body of us could do is Stumble your blogs and your main sale site! Digging and de.li.cious -ing away like nobody's business as well.

Please, do be careful. When I tried the 2007 30DC, I killed my own site my creating too many social-poster backlinks at the same time. I can't afford to have that happen again. Maybe some more experienced people than me can offer guidelines? Unless they say otherwise, though, I think maybe 5-6 people voting on each is enough.

Thank you guys!

Michael

Default A way out based on what you said!!

If I was in the situation described and need X$ in X days, I would do this:

1) Make sure I have a Paypal Account and Paypal Debit card so that I can take out the Money from an ATM quickly.

2) You say you are a good Writer. Start writing your Health Articles and anything else you can write up. ( create Niches, Write write write will all your heart) 400-600 word articles.

3) Solicit yourself as a Writer and ask for $10-15-$20 Per 500 word articles. Go to forums like Warriors Forum, Wicked Fire, Digital Point, etc and Show your offer with 2 writing examples. Make it a 7-10 day turn around time from paypal receipt to delivering orders. Take requests, answer all PM's and just keep writing.

4) If you can really write well, You will have your own new business as a freelance writer. Some of these guys make a mint. I pay 2 different writers each month for content for my SEO client websites. It can be a nice steady business, if you truly like to WRITE.

5) When you are writing make up niche packs of 10 to 15 articles and sell the sets as a limited PLR (Private Lable Rights) and say your offer is only open to 25 people. If you price it low and have good niches Like HEALTH or PETS you could see a 15 pack of articles (500 words long) for about $50. Look at the forums you are going to to see what prices points are going for article packs. At $50 for a 15 pack. If you sell all 25 out you just made $1250.

6) Make sure your Solicitation in the Fourms are in the correct spots, and look at other successful thread posts that have sold items, and model your "sales letter" after to successful post. Make sure you present yourself professionally and proofread everything you say before you post it. It is your first Impression that will either make you or break you, because you are a newbie. ( in some forums, you may have to get X number of posts on various subjects out or post count up before you get any credibility.)

7) If you are a good writer and can show me some examples that pass copy scape, I will hire you for some topics and give you Credibility. PM Me!!

Hi everyone,
I just came across a timely article in today's NYTimes - seems what Caro said is spot on.

Michael and anyone else who is struggling, I wish you the best of luck. I'm glad you found the 30DC. I've only been here for a few months but what I've seen is an amazing community who rallies to help each other, very much evidenced by the content of this thread. We're here to back you up, thanks for having the courage to post.

Michael - I'm no IM expert yet so I won't pretend to give you advice there. What I will say is:

- It would be good to understand the skills/experience and interests of you and your wife. I see a health niche is one interest, but more of this info will definitely help people brainstorm options for you. For example, do you like internet marketing or are doing it only as a last resort etc? I am one of those people that does think you really need to enjoy/like, even love what you get into or else your heart won't be in it and your results will suffer.

- In terms of 'money now', I think bigebiz's post is great. Growing a business is challenging and certainly not (at least in most/a lot of cases) a 'money now' solution. My advice would be to find some way you or your wife can use your skillsets online to _earn_ money _now_. That way, you can solidify your current situation and give you some time/space to grow your business and _make_ (rather than 'earn') money. Freelancing is a great way of doing this.

In short, focus solely on activities that _will_ get you money in the next 2 wk (rolling) period rather than _might_ get you money. Once you're stabilized, then you can focus on business building, _making_ money etc.

Hope this helps.
Brett

Michael

Here are a list of 'ducks' you have to get in a row.

Some of it you already have:

getting ideas / finding niche , done
research keywords , done, though I would like you to PM me what you have as somebody one the Immediate Edge might be able to get you some more

Choose 3 good phrases which you will make some articles for (or ask somebody to help you) must be done within the next 24 hours.

Where to put the articles. Since you know and use Squidoo I would suggest to use that, for now, since time is the restricting factor.

From each article there must be links to a name collection page on your site.
Normally you would use a paid service for this, but alas money is a restricting factor as well.

So I have written a SIMPLE name collection system, with an even simpler autoresponder.

The page where you send the visitors will ask for a name and an email, and in exchange you must give them something.

As an e-book takes time I would suggest the following:

You have a relative that is an expert on the topic, so ask her for a list of the most common asked questions on the topic. Then using Skype we can arrange a telephone interview and get it stored as an mp3 file (Anybody who know the easiest process???)

There you have your valuable gift for the email address.
People who sign up will also get an opportunity to get your e-book at a discount. (Hey they only have to wait 5days)

So:
You need keywords and it really would be good if it was soon.
Then you need articles on the keywords.
And set up the name collection page.

As soon as you have the articles on squidoo, then you need to get
people here to stumble, twitter, vote and comment on these to make
sure Google will find them (Back links from peoples sites would be
great as well)

And you need to find a way to collect the money for the e-books you
are going to sell. (Anybody having suggestions, clickbank is way too
slow)

Cheers
Asbjorn

PS. The names you collect is going to be crucial for your chance of
success, so you need to have something to offer them before you send
traffic there.

When time is of the essence, he should have his own product and use a paypal button.
