Unhappy Desperate measures - a plea from a man on the brink

Hi, folks. I'm Michael Danielson, and I have a problem.

I've been unable to get employment for the last five months despite diligently applying to everything within $100 of gas/week of my home. Now, my electricity is due to be shut off in two weeks, and all of the local charity chapters are out of money. My unemployment benefits were denied on a technicality, and all of our Temporary Assistance for Needy Families grant is going to keep enough gas in our car to get me to my interviews. Fortunately, my church has been paying my rent.

Did I mention that my wife is due to have our first child in six weeks?

To keep my lights on and my fridge running, I need to make $400 in two weeks, period. I can’t leave home (pregant wife can’t feed herself or go potty without assistance) to do it. I have lots of time, but no money whatsoever. I found some free Ebooks, and I’m hoping to use them along with what I learned by reviewing the 2007 30 Day Challenge website to pull a miracle out of my butt.

Any of you who have expertise and are willing to email me some advice, please let me know and I’ll pimp everything you’ve got to everyone I know if I can just make this one goal happen.

I’ve got some great keywords in a tiny niche of the health/diet industry. I know, Ed, you told us all to avoid it — but it’s where my knowledge and interest happen to lie (my mother-in-law is a nutritionist and my wife recently recovered from severe adrenal fatigue), and I’ve got the expertise to write some killer content about it. It really is my last desperate gamble.

I’ll post what I’ve made once I’ve made it. It won’t be long. But I would really appreciate some support from you guys who have the knowledge and experience that I don't.

Thank you very, very much for your help.

HI Michael,

Thank you for your sharing. I can only imagine how you are feeling with all of the challenges you are facing at the moment.

Putting my coaches hat on (I do in the real world ) - the first question I'd ask you is:

Do you believe that you will overcome your challenges?

Heart of hearts.

And secondly:

Have you made a choice to succeed? And by making that choice - asking the first question again - do you believe you will?

As these are important questions to ask yourself.

As often the stimulus we encounter can be horrifically challenging - like yours - and it therefore can be very easy to focus on that unwittingly.

We focus on the very thing we don't want - and we create more of the same - the thing we don't want.

You can take all the actions under the sun - and it will mean absolutely nothing if accompanying that you have not made the absolute decision and feel certainty that you will succeed.

It's a choice - and it might seem a 'crazy' choice when the chips are down. It's what needs to happen to reverse the downward spiral that we all face at some stage(s) in our lives.

For you Michael I would infact recommend spending time reading (or re-reading if you have already) these books:

Ask & It is Given - Jerry & Esther Hicks

Law of Attraction - Jerry & Esther Hicks.

You have 4 weeks to read them before the start of the challenge - and I believe they are instrumental in helping you move to a right mindset that you (and we all) need to be inorder to be successful.

Look at Ed & Dan - they have both decided to be successful - and so it became.

Ed has a great story he's shared before of his facing bankruptcy etc - but that he decided he would be a millionaire before he was 30 - and he had absolute conviction in achieving that goal - and he did.

For him the book - Awaken the Giant by Tony Robbins was instrumental for him at that time.

Dan has also shared how his back has been against the wall, and how he turned it around - by being pig headedly determined to - again it was a choice.

Michael - this may/may not be what you want to hear. I certainly empathize - and I know sitting down with you and holding your hand, metaphorically speaking, is not going to assist you with achieving what you want to.

So whilst I can offer lots of actions - well the 30DC will teach you those from Aug 1st. The very first set of actions is to get in the determined head space to succeed - and I know from personal experience that those books can be instrumental in shifting/cementing you there.

Wishing you all the very best in your endeavours - you WILL succeed when you decide you will

Caro

Michael,
I want to help. please send me some demographic info. I need to know the general area in which you live. It would also help if you sent me the name of your church. My church may be able to help them to help you. I am a member of the Greater Boston Vineyard.
I am pretty good at finding diverse sources of help.
Keep the faith and remember, what you need may come in ways you never expected.

Caro, great books selections. I love those books!

Michael, please know that you're not alone. My family went through this from Nov - June. In our case, my husband left his job because they were breaking the law and he was management. He didn't want to be taking the rap for his company and putting our family in a bad spot. We had no idea that it would take so long for him to find something, and what he found doesn't pay enough to cover the bills. (I tell him constantly that within a year he can quit his job and just work for me. I honestly believe that will happen.)

I've been trying to make money on the internet for over a year. Zero results, and I felt truly guided to this course after some abundance check therapy. I don't even know what I was searching for when I found 30 DC. It was just there, and I've not looked back. There are moments when I'm literally giggling to myself with excitement! There are moments when I'm kicking myself thinking I should have known that already! The point is, I truly believe that 30 DC can guide you (and me) to making money. The amount made is only dependent upon our own attitudes and beliefs. How much we put into it, nurture it and believe in it.

I've been through the 2007 stuff, too. I'm so glad I did because I don't want to be left behind in this challenge and there is a lot to know. I'm confident that I'm ready! I've got a good niche that I'm starting on already. Like you, I'm down to the wire. Rent, bills, and three kids to take care of. Not to mention medical issues that need to be tended to. I've even roped a friend into doing the challenge with me. That way, I have someone to share this with, and we can help each other succeed.

It seems impossible sometimes, but it's NOT. If you dedicate yourself to this challenge, I KNOW you will come away with what you need. -- Give those books that Caro mentioned a read; they are wonderful books.

I wish I could help more, but truly, you have the chance to really make this work if (like Caro said) you BELIEVE you can. Good luck!

Michael,

You should also know that by inspiring Caro to write such a fantastically helpful post, you have (inadvertently but not coincidentally) brought some very real help to so many of us who are more in need of encouraging words than hard cash right now.

What I mean to say is: Caro - damn, girl. Freaking brilliant. Michael - thank you for sharing and I believe you will be (and have been) helped more than you can know.

Annie

Wow. Thank you all so much. I don't even know what to say.

I've had one person offer me his expertise on my plans to use 30-day-challenge tactics to make the money, one person offer some excellent advice on alternate ways to get the job done, and a couple of people offer more direct assistance -- not to mention Caro and her awesomely inspirational post.

I honestly expected to be ridiculed when I posted my situation. Thank you all so much for proving me wrong.

And Caro -- yes, I believe I will succeed. With people like you guys offering advice and inspiration, I absolutely will. The choice to act, I hope, is evident in the fact that I'm putting myself out there for everyone to judge (and more importantly, follow). I can't let you guys down after I've decided on this as my course of action. Not after a show of faith and charity like I recieved today.

I can't even put words to my gratitude.

You guys boggle my brain.

Thank you.

Michael,

I'm right there with you my friend. Our family has seen tough times lately, in fact I had to glue my shoe back together yesterday, and I get excited when I can put two pieces of bologna on my sandwich instead of one. So know you're not alone out here. You and I, we can do some a$$ kicking together. It's tough times for a lot of folks out there.

I do my gratitude list each morning, so I can start the day feeling good rather than feeling down or scared. It helps.

Smile The best thread I have read this year.

Hi Guys,

This is truly the best thread I have read on this year's 30 DC.

Michael, I do hope you find both your financial resources and your inspiration from these answers. I think Caro has given us all "Food for Thought" with her response.

I cannot help you directly with money but i do have lots of PLR (Private Label Rights) potential material you could use.

I have built up a collection on many topics and can provide you some of that if you think it will be helpful. I am not sure of this years tactics and if we are going to be utilising blogs again.

But if we are then one of these PLR materials could provide you with some great blog content. You would need to re write it so that it has your own personal stamp on it but I am sure Caro's inspiration will give you that.

I know this is not an immediate help money wise but small building blocks from a number of people can build you a mountain.

Just send me a private message if I can help out with that.

All the Best

Richard

OK, so I've got an idea of what I'm going to be doing to keep my lights on. Perhaps you guys can answer a few basic questions for me:

I'm writing an Ebook on a complex nutritional topic. Should I go the easy-but-not-entirely-accurate route that skips over a bunch of information for the sake of getting to the action points, or should I be more thorough but correspondingly harder to read?

Also, for those of you that have published Ebooks before, is there a general length that you shoot for? I don't want people to feel ripped off if they spend $25 for a 30-page book, but I don't know what's 'standard'.

Thank you again for all of your help.
