I tried to download Google notebook but I get this message "Google recently stopped development on Notebook". Now what do we do!

Evernote is a good alternative. It gives you the ability to integrate/copy your notes from Google notebook

Default Alternative to Google Notebook ... OneNote

I also use Evernote and like it.

Another option, though it's not web-based, is Microsoft OneNote. That program seems to come as part of the Microsoft Office package because it's on all PCs I've used in the last few years and I've never had to install it separately. As the manager of three different groups at his company, my husband recently started using it to keep on top of the overwhelming amount of info thrown his way, and he can't stop singing praises. He loves it.
