Exclamation Flock Add-ons Lesson Update

Hi Guys,

The Lesson 3 page has been updated with the latest video and a PDF of links you'll need. It details the add-ons that we'll be using for the 30DC this year so head on over there and check it out!

Cheers,
Nez

Just a heads up.... actually I just finished watching it the vid on there is a feed from Ed's latest live broadcast not the add-ons preseason lesson... however if you click on the link beside that video window where it says the Flock add-ons lesson it goes directly to the YouTube site for the lesson video.

Default and on the pdf

Yes I have Windows, sigh.

When I click on the links in the pdf they bring up -- GASP! Internet Explorer.
After looking at the Adobe Reader 8.1 Preferences, I don't see anywhere where I can change the browser that AR opens.

Am I missing something ?

If not, maybe distribution via pdf might not be the most fun

What happens on Macs ?

Hi nextday,

I'm just going to assume you're using Flock since that's what we're going to be using this year. You can go to Tools > Options... and then at the very bottom of the dialog box there's a section called System Defaults. You can click the "Check Now" button, and if Flock isn't set to be your primary browser then you have the option to make it your primary.

Hope that helps

Hi,
Guess I should have indicated that, huh?
Flock is already my default browser.
Doesn't stop Adobe Reader from brining up IE. pttttouie.

platform ?

If windows, what version of windows ?
e.g., XP, Vista -- but even more than that, which version of those?
(e.g., XP Home, XP Pro, Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Premium, etc.)
What version of Adobe Reader (are you using AR, or some other program to read the pdfs ?)
Are you reading the pdf within a tab of Flock ?

Thanks!

On that note I'm having the same problem with Twirl. I've set all my defaults to Flock, (I don't remember how, hubby did it) and that was supposed to work but every link in Twirl opens IE even if I have Flock already open.

EDIT: I found it and hit myself for being stupid, in Vista: Start Menu > Default Programs (Bottom Right) > Set Your Default Programs
You can then select Flock and click "Set this Program as default"
