hacker - life dedication to the intricaties of hardware and software. lone soldier but also team player whose knowledge is extensive. read: generally has ethics and morals.

cracker - similar to above but maybe less skills. read: zero ethics or morals.

script kiddie - reads blogs and forums about security vunrebilities and using low level programming techniques can replicate this on small or large scale - generally automated. read: ethics and morals have yet to develop, just someone cauding mischeif or malice without full knowledge of the repercusions.

when you talk about sites being "hacked" it is usually by the latter - script kiddies. when you look at large scale frauds it is by the seconday - crackers. when you are looking to hire someone to work miracles within your corporation it is the former - the hacker.

hope that clears it all up.

Talking Success is how you define it

Here where I work we have a saying, "What you hear you repeat, what you say comes toward you and what you write down comes to pass."

When you say deprecating or negative things about yourself you believe them more quickly. And when you write down negative things about yourself, they become self-fulfilling prophecies. So STOP it!

You have already proven yourself in our minds to be a quick study, inquisitive, capable, and you have a quick, intelligent sense of humor. Only the unteachable, know-it-alls fail when they try something new. Keep on going. You're going to be fine.

You'll likely end up more successful than many others, because you recognize you need a little help and aren't afraid to ask for it. Repeat after me, "I'm going to make it!"

@markfishgrab
you are talking sense. OP if you talk yourself to hsti and you will be in the hsit. keep rolling brother. but obviously time is a pressing matter for you here, you need $400 in 2 weeks, thritydaychallenge proper starts in 3.5 weeks and thirtydaychallenge ends 4 weeks after that.

goal to make $10, so you will only need $390 then plus the disconnection charge, having to surf the net from the public library which you need to walk too cause you got no fuel.

anyone willing to do a 4 way co-op with me to send him $400?
what would OP think of a loan arrangement?

world of possibilities! everyone talk to me!!

WOW - thanks for that. I had no idea that "Hackers"' were now seen as 'OK' :0

I think mainstream TV needs to be made aware of this - I say that tongue in cheek and half seriously.

In OZ everyone was talking about obtained Cracked iphones - as if that's an "OK" thing to have - and liberally using the terminology 'cracked' along the lines of it was helping people achieve an out in the open outcome - get their iphone to work in Oz.

So I am really fascinated that these terms seem to have different meanings in different places. And I have no doubt your terminology is the more technically accepted version.

Cheers

Caro
