Disqus: A blog comment service. Where is it in Google reader?

I am following only the transripts for the pre-season as the videos at my end take a lot of time to buffer.

This is from Using Google Reader Part2: "Disqus is a blog comment service that allows you to get Viral traffic. It also includes video comments"

Is it something to understand later in the blog related lessons? How is it related to Google Reader?

Disqus is a third party commenting service that you can add to your blogs,
It doesn't have anything to do with google reader.

In regards to the Google Reader pt.2
It was just a RSS feed posted by Mashable that ED has as one of his
subscriptions. He was simple using it as an example.

This is a cool and improving blog comment syndication tool.

Look at it, think about, get ideas.
How could it help you?

Could a customer in your niche post a great comment
that ends up in a niche room on friendfeed for ALL to see?

Now, the word of caution:

Disqus is invested in, used by, and monitored by
some Very Smart, focused, powerful people.

They will nuke you for life if you abuse them.
They are adding features, plan on going BIG, and will Not
tolerate abuse.
They want to be used well.

i read that Disque can slow down page loading. Does anyone know?
