Hey, Jim.

I'm a boomer in SoCal that did the 30DC last year, bought the tools, dominate my niche, get traffic and get clients from my web page visitors - but don't make doodley from it as far as advertising goes. I'm going to do the Challenge again, but actually aim to make money at it this time.

My background is computer programming, writing, landscape contracting, DOD, oil field, housing, and entertainment industries...

What are your interests?

Mike

Hi Jim, I am a 'baby boomer' too. I did the 30DG last year. Have not made any money yet but still eager to carry on. I am now retired, need the money but also need to keep my brain functioning so IM fits the bill. It was a very steep learning curve last year but it is certainly getting easier. I intend to succeed.

My interests are painting, reading, gardening, embroidery, knitting, cooking, learning interesting facts about religion, history and society and of course, making money.

Linda.

Hi, Linda

What areas of gardening interest you? Fruit, veggies, flowers,? Any specialties? Level of experience? Are you a seasonal chef cooking out of your garden?

Gardening was my chosen niche last year and I got a lot of traction in it (or at least in a micro niche). It took a lot of work, but I have started to form a network of contacts on the net. I am an ex-landscape contractor, a Master Gardener and considering producing information products aimed at a similar niche this year.

I have had Amazon ads up (but not aggressively promoted) that generate a couple of bucks per month, but I actually make more promoting a gardening software package as an affiliate. I'm getting material together to try selling my own product - but does it go in a DVD, e-book, membership site, subscription newsletter, or blog posts to drive trafficv to a money site?

I found the SEO part pretty easy to master, and it is amazing what t few Stumbles will do for your traffic. I am willing to address other markets and micro-niches, but my authority in all but a few areas is non-existent.

Jim - what are your interests and background?

I'm at the end of the baby boomer age, but would like to join this team. My name is River Lin. I'm a full time writer - do lots of content and SEO writing for clients. I used to be a teacher - freshman English composition and English as a second language for over 20 years. My interests include cooking, family, hiking (barefooting), self discovery/authenticity, time management, and many more. I am interested in gardening as well, yoga, meditation, dancing, exercise, nutrition, etc. I'm a little intimidated by the 30 DC but am anxious to give it my all and do my best. I think that participating in a team will help.
Thanks,

Cool Babyboomer

Hi Jim, Jill and others! I'm quite mature too. I finished 39DC '08 not so long ago; and can't wait to start '09. In time this time and not much later as everybody else. Was a bit lonsome that way.....
My interests are writing (articles), and everything related to that (politics, internet, etc. etc. etc.), marketing. What kind of business do you have or are you starting up?

P.S. Anybody else here from the Netherlands???

Dorothee

Thumbs up Consider Joining the 30DC Marketers

Consider Joining forces with the 30DCMarketers Team.

I'm a boomer, a full time internet marketer, and looking to find others to brainstorm with! And, you have my promise NOT to market to you STARTING RIGHT NOW, and NOT until the end of the challenge on August 31, 2009.

Charles
