Jim
Awesome post. Sometimes more than a team we need accountability partners...I agree. Would love to join you. I also just made a post for a Los Angeles / South Bay MeetUp. I think if you have the chance to network in person that can be great as well. Let's kick some butt out there. Cheers Dave |

Hello Jim,
I had the same experience trying to find a team and get people to respond. I posted several request to different teams and no one ever contacted me until about a week ago. I want to be part of an active team that will not fizzle out, so do you think it would be ok to belong to more than one team? I completed the challenge last year but haven't made any money yet....picked highly competitive niches as well. I do understand Market Samurai a lot better now. I know I will carry through till the end and would like to know that I will have a team till the end. Let me know if I can participate in your group as well as the one that I just joined. |

I would very much like to be a part of this team. I've been playing on the internet for years. I am one of two people that run an online weight loss forum and have for about 5 years. I understand how to communicate with people without being too emotional or taking everything to heart.
I need step by step directions, which is awesome that the pre-season does that, but I don't quit until I figure it out. I will be here for the entire summer. I ask questions, but I m also a good team member and I listen, too Pick Me, Pick Me! I'd like to be a part of a group that will be on the ball and keeping current with the Pre-season and the 30days actual challenge time. Thanks, Kristin |

Hi all
My name is Bill Hume and I have been doing the IM stuff since December when my retirement income went south. I have bought ll the courses, Mass Control, Infomillionaire and on and on. Then in April I "stumbled" on 30DC. I need to have somebody that can sort of pull me in and reset my direction. In short, I need Accountability Partners.I would love to be a member of your team. I bring no marketing skills from the past, just 42 years of mainframe computer programming and systems design. Not very much of that will translate to IM I found out. William Hume A 30DC Wannabe

Hey all...
It's really great to see this many people that are in the same boat, that way we can all lean on each other, both with the 30DC and hopefully afterwards. Now someone asked if I thought it would be ok to be in more than one group. Honestly I say if you can be true and honorable to both groups, then by all means go for it. I for one, will probably not being going that route simply because it will be already hard enough to trust a group of people with everything, let alone two groups of people... But that is just my two cents on it. Now I had a few questions for those that answered so quickly to this post. First is Do we want a cap on the number of people we want in our group? And second, I think it would be best if we found an outside source other than the forum, what do you guys suggest? I mean there are numerous options, facebook group, friendfeed, (god i wish google wave was available) And finally what do all of you think of a weekly Skype conference? If you guys have any instant messenger systems here is my info... AIM - elementaltags Yahoo - elemental_unity Skype - ElementalUnity Last edited by lisahartwell; 06-28-2009 at 01:25 AM. I think that a group of 10 is a good number. That's what was recommended a few years ago. We might have a few drop outs during pre-season, so maybe go as high as 13 right now.
During pre-season it's probably not necessary to have weekly meetings. In August, we will want to be accountable as often as possible and a weekly meeting might be very beneficial. Skype is a great option for that. I think that a Google Group, Yahoo Group or a Facebook group would be excellent. That should be set up right away so that we can get to know each other and discuss the pre-season. I think Facebook would probably be the way to go, just because Facebook is the big thing with the 30DC this time around. We need a name for our group as well. ![]() Thanks! Kristin |

I believe that 10 - 15 is about as many as are manageable. We tried to keep our programming teams to below 15 due to control issues. I need to set up a skype account and chat. I could never use instant messageing due to security concerns as I had work stuff on my home computer. Also had vpn's into MD State Police and MDOT computers so nobody wanted to take a chance. Could not even use wireless for home network. Need to set up some sort of group calendar as well. Oh by the way, if it is not COBOL or ALGOL, I prolly can not spell what ever I am typing. ![]() See you soon
