Well guys, we may not have all the stars and sparkle of the last thread, but there is no reason why we can't stay in the top spot!

How did you go getting in contact with all those in the last thread Mike?

For those of you who want to join our team, but have not been added to the team, contact Mike and join our next challenge meeting on skype Friday 7.30pm Australian EST

PS Ed if you want to be in a team, you can join our "Outback Anzacs".

Default Some Tips for choosing niches

May help with our current task
A quick answer from my blog...

Quote:
Now, Ed may disagree with me on this list, or some of the other experts, but I’m going to share how I find mine.

1. Go to the biggest magazine shop you can find, and ask the guys at the counter what sells most. They’re only going to be stocking magazines that will sell, but find out which ones are most popular
2. Write down a list of everything that interests you. Everything that you’d be interested in getting some training on
3. Go on eBay Pulse and check out what’s hot on there
4. Make a note of every piece of advertising you can find in ten magazines, on the TV you see over the course of a few days and what’s in the newspapers
5. What’s big on Technorati’s top 100 list
6. What’s getting traffic on Digg, Reddit and Netscape
7. The groups on Google groups - what are people talking about, and what questions are they asking?
8. What’s in the Google Zeitgeist and Hot Trends
9. What’s being asked on Yahoo! Answers

Hi Mark

Here are some ideas.

1. Are people genuinely paying money for this product or service? There are so so many things that are free on the internet, that this can really be a "go - no go" criteria.

2. traffic volume - self-explanatory

3. do people in this need more information, products or support?

4. are the people in this market "desperate" for a solution?

5. do you see an opportunity to be unique with your solution in some way shape or form? Can you put a different "spin" on the subject or problem?

6. Would Ed approve or disapprove? (i.e. it is not a diet product or about internet marketing!)

7. Would you enjoy spending 100's of hours on this subject or market?

Just some ideas......

ciao ciao

Carolyn

All of it will be based on stats. Just now we have to choose any seven niches so we have something to research

Talking More on finding niches

Thought this might be useful

And...

VOILA!!!

I found the one magical website (well, magical for me anyway)

eHOW

It occurred to me that a successful product is one that gives a solution to the troubled customer.

eHOW provides how to solutions on just about any topic.

And in other words, provides many niche ideas.

For example, go to Fashion, Style and Personal Care and you'll find great niche ideas such as, How to Avoid White Spots on Nails and then (just a thought) you could market nailpolish products, recommended manicure centres, even health products that help increase zinc in the body (zinc deficiency is a major cause of white spots on nails).

I hope that this post has helped a lot of you who are having trouble and that this information has enlightened you.

Thank you very much,

Your new BEST friend,

Daiyaan Ghani (give me a break, i'm only 15)
More to come I hope
Regards
