Default Thanks Ed!! It works!!

I'm just posting an update on how I've been getting on in my quest to make money online.

I did last years challenge very late, around October / November last year. I downloaded all the videos onto my phone, and on my lunchbreak I'd watch one, or listen to a podcast, and follow up with the practical stuff on the night. I must admit I didn't stick to one a day, and sometimes I'd miss a few days out, and sometimes I'd watch a couple of vids and do no practical.

Anyway, at the end of it I put the basic principles into practice, and built a Blog. I got it to #1 for my phrase , and was very pleased after I'd made $4.80 in Amazon commissions.

Then I thought I'd extend on this and created , with the phrase 'xxxxx' which had more competition but more traffic. I kept this site going and continued building links to the two.

After a couple of months, my website became a PR3 site! and I was very surprised that with such little content it had become an authority on the subject. To be honest I hadn't made any more Amazon commissions and I was only getting a small amount of not very 'commercial' traffic, so I figured I could apply the same principals to something more lucrative.

I put my site up for sale on Digitalpoint.com, and sold it for $250!! and even though I've done absolutely nothing with for ages, its now a PR2.

Anyway, it gets way better than that...a couple of months ago I started using the same keyword research and link building methods in conjunction with some of the CPA affiliate networks, such as Copeac etc, and managed to rank in the second slot for a high competition phrase, using just blog commenting and Wordpress with the All-in-One SEO pack to get me there.

This is the good part: I made $890 in commission in 2 weeks from just the one site, one day I made $196 and thought I'd 'made it', until Google de-indexed my site. I think it was because I'd triggered a manual review by building too many links too quickly.

Since then ( all in the last 6 weeks ), I've created 4 more sites, and they are slowly creeping up the rankings for my phrases. This month I've made $547 in commissions, averaging a sale of $30 a day. Sometimes none, sometimes 2 or three.

Anyway, I can honestly say that its due to the Thirty Day Challenge, so any of you guys that are thinking of giving up, DON'T. IF you do, what are you going to do? accept your day job for the rest of your days?

I'm obviously only at the very beginning of the long road out of my dayjob, but I can now see a real future in doing this sort of stuff, I hope that within a couple of years I'll be doing this for my 'job'. If that happens I'm going to take you for a drink Ed, if thats ok?

Don't give up, I'm not going to, ever. And if you think that this is luck, its NOT, its called a little bit of hard work. I wouldn't say its even that much like hard work either, its a damn sight easier than pulling my hair out coding PHP for a living.

And I'm not gloating, I'm posting this screenshot to serve as encouragment to anyone who is thinking about giving up, this is real, from the last two months:

A big THANK YOU to Ed and the team, you guys/girls totally ROCK!!!!

Default Very Happy for you

Good to hear that this can work well. Just one question, Copeac and other CPA networks? Which are the best?

Thanks Lisa, I never thought I'd be in the position where I would be an inspiration to others!

Grahunt. its entirely up to you which CPA network to use. I can tell you that I use 2 right now, and I'm setting up with another one. Normally they give you your own manager and you can contact them via AIM and ask them what you like (within reason), about what products are performing the best.

I am with Advaliant, Copeac & Affiliate.com, and a good UK one is Global Direct Media

You don't have to use a CPA network though, I've just heard about a Guy who created his own Ebook about Twitter Traffic, and guess where he launched it? Twitter! He posted a screenshot of his inbox and it showed that he was getting a sale for $40 every couple of MINUTES! Now thats an inspiration.

What I'm saying is I've chosen the CPA networks for now, but my ultimate goal is the same goal as in the TDC, and thats to make my own product.

Default Thanks Again

I will check out the Uk based one as one of my niches goes directly to Uk as opposed to US wehich is most of them.
Still looking at how to monetise well. Seeing what works and doesn't work.
The CPA's seem a little easier than pushing product through affiliate sales

Cool story and an inspiration to keep going for everbody.

Quick question, the CPA site you made $198 in one day form, what kind of traffic levels and conversions were you getting on that day?
