Thumbs up Success! :o

I can't believe it, but I made a sale!

The reason it is weird is because my site is not ranked on Google yet, even though it's been about 40 days since I started the challenge.

My blog uses a free domain name with free host from Wordpress Direct so I suspect Google very much dislikes those.

I haven't done any AdWord campaigns, in fact I haven't spend any money for marketing and SEO.

According to Google Analytics I've had just about 100 visitors which is terrible and the average time they spend is about 2 seconds which again I find terrible, though perhaps it only means for the main page?

Regardless, it's amazing that I sold anything considering all that. It makes me both happy and confused.

I've done anything else properly, I have been writing original quality content, social bookmark each of my posts, I have an E-zine and other article directiries submissions, Squidoo and Hub pages, and so on. I suspect that after all, if only my blog gets ranked it should do very well, but apparently, even after 40 days, that's not happening. 1 sale in 100 visits (and just 19 clicks on the ad!) is good, but with no ranking I guess it means nothing.

I am wondering how to proceed... if for example I register a proper domain (.com) and pay for hosting, what are the best ways to transfer traffic from it to my blog as I'd rather not start all from scratch and ditch all those articles that it contains already.

Anyway, I have to say as I'm convinced now - it all works! Whoever is having doubts, just keep working and stick to it!

Cheers,

You would transfer your content to your new blog and then
do the same promoting and bookmarking as always only to
your new domain/blog. I am not sure if you can do a redirect
with WPD that would send visitors to your new location.

As I have never transferred a site from WPD to another host
I would probably contact WPD customer support on this.

This would probably make things go the smoothest
