That is awesome. Think bigger. You have the potential to make $10s of thousands a month. You already made a $1. you know there is a way, now you just need to 'do it', and keep 'doing it' and so on... 30DC is 2005 changed my life forever! Thank you Ed!

Default My 30DC experience

I have been involved with 30DC since 2007 but I didn't start till 2008 and even then I didn't complete the challenge at least not in the 30 days.

In my years of Internet marketing experience which really amounts to a few months. I really committed my self since March of 2009, I never ranked on Google or even made a cent. However I have learned tons about niche research, SEO, CSS, Html, Wordpress and writing. I still have a lot more to learn, I have merely scratched the surface to internet marketing.

I think my past failure were to the wrong application of various techniques I learned and developed. eg; Theme and category as explained in 30DC 2009 is something I have been applying to my blogs. However my application of categories was to find low traffic low competition key phrases, and used these to create content for my niche. I would get indexed for them very quickly but nothing else. Let me give an example lets say my niche was "red houses", I would seek a subset of red houses to form my category eg; "red house paints", "red house walls" etc. Most times traffic was like 4 or 5 searches per day and competition a few hundred sites or even zero.

I think with what I have learned and am learning in 30DC, 2009, This will be my year for success.

Well it's not like we're doing the the Thirty Day GUARANTEE.. if it was a sure thing then it wouldn't be much of a challenge would it?

I had a similar experience as you with my first three sites.. they didn't get me anywhere.

My fourth site did pretty well and is now making me 3 figures a week.

Your experience may differ.

Obviously the OP doesn't take the long view.Besides, $30 to test a niche? big deal! You can set up a free worpress or blogger blog, a domain name costs what $8/yr. Or go the paid hosting route. I'm with a company called HastyHost. they're plans start and $2.96 a month. Fast support, fast servers and its the only company that I know of with reseller accounts from $15. So really it costs almost nothing to start up. And the knowledge you will have gained you can REPLICATE. IF you're not in it for the long-term and insist that any failure is not yours (IE it is Ed's) then I'd say that you are not cut out for being an entrepreneur. Go get and keep a job. That way, as you rise through the ranks, you can blame MORE people when things screw up.

Thanks a lot.
You are absolutely right, if you are crying with $30 ... try losing $80,000, all of your family, and friends and all of your subscribers, and losing 18 myspace accounts, and 20 youtube accounts, and your name and your dad....

If you think knowledge is expensive, try ignorance!

you just want attention, and you want someone to cry with your losing game, keep crying... keep asking for everyone to give you all the patting on your back saying "you are ok to be a loser"

you want people to gang up on Ed who is leader and took so much time to create this awesome program... loser should be ban out of this forum... but Ed won't because he believes the winner in you.

There is no charge for awesomeness, but you should be charged for being less than awesomeness

Last season I only had the market samurai and no training and I collected over $14,000 for SEO service... so what this mean, I did not do the whole course, I am totally failure than you.... you did the whole course and I did not

you are successful at completing the course, I choose to succeed at using the software...

Here is my bottomline, winner always win! you still won by completing the course, I won by using it....
I appreciate all what Ed puts together, no tools and no strategy is perfect! Market changes all the time, so you can have a perfect niche and still make nothing. look at google... if you google makes perfect tool, then why they make another tool for adwords says it does better...

They are no tools here that is perfect, but there is no tool like market samurai can bring so much focus within minutes...

you can do the same thing with excel spredsheet... good luck with your time.
I really get pissed off at people who is sooooo lazy who wants the cookie cutter and ignores the fact that someone has to go thru millions of lines of coding and planning to bring this amazing tool here.

Keyword, Timing, Your Message.... and your attitude
your attitude also determines your altitude!

If you come with sour attitude, guess what people can pick up!
do not ever forget that it is still people who is buying the product
I am done venting

Whatever you think you are loser or winner, you are right!
Enjoy whatever you chose, love it!
you are responsible for all your outcome, Ed is an angel without hair and wings that gives us light to our journey of internet marketing.

I'm closing this thread now. Thanks for all your comments - it is clear that all but the initial poster is on the same page and I hate seeing you expend anymore energy on this

Now move along...nothing to see here...don't you have Competition Matrices to analyse?
