Default Made my first dollar

$1.08 to be exact. It feels good to know that it can be done. It took longer than 30 days for me, but I feel like I'm on the right path. I just wish Amazon wasn't so stingy with their referral fees .

Congratulation !! Time for a big time party (might have to do BYO

Yeah took me a little bit longer as well, but that was after I found out that my links were bad.
I hear you - Amazon is really stingy. But ebay isn't much better
But if it was a book etc. than you can possibly create an information product to sell in the future.

Btw. my trick for better conversion:
Link first to a product review post you have written and than to Amazon.
Amazon itself is crap at selling their products.

Look on the bright side, you're .08 closer to your second dollar. CONGRATS!
30 days, 60 days or 90 days...it doesn't matter. What does matter is that you haven't given up!
Your determination will eventually = $$$$$

One more thing I'd like to comment on regarding the two previous posts. Either these two aforementioned "affiliates" are screwing people, or other people whom I'm in contact with daily are lying about their success.
I can sell you my old tennis shoes, one with a hole in it, if proper marketing techniques are utilized.
If you're not making the dough, come back to this thread after the 30DC and explain why you weren't...and now you are.

You need some serious traffic volume to make any decent money with Amazon and Ebay, due to the low percentage they give, but it's a great place to start and excellent for testing the monetisation potential of a niche.

Making your own product is ultimately the way to go, and a lot easier than you think to do (as Ed will show us again this year I'm sure!)

Pete :-)

Question

Hey all. I'm new to the 30 DC (actually in training). So is the concept we are talking about here a click-for-$ format? -Dave

This is based on last year's training and is an affiliate commission because someone bought (from Amazon, in this case) through an affiliate link. The process we used was to test a micro niche using an affiliate product.

I'm confused...when does Ed talk about making your own product in depth? I didn't hear anything about it in the 2008 Challenge. Is it in his other programs?

Making your own product is not part of the 30DC program.

The Immediate Edge or the 30DCPlus are the programs that cover such topics in lots of detail.
