Hello, All!
I have no plans on quitting, but... I spent at least 6 days at the start, working with MS and also trying to get FireFox working. Firefox was finally scrapped after much help from my forum friends. (Thank you!) Despite working diligently each day with the limited time I've got, I am still on Day 2. I bought MS awhile back so I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to do there, but I'm just not coming up with my niche. I've had moments of frustration, but generally, I would just like to move ahead, and I would like to complete the challenge. I'm worried that if I don't have my keywords in the next day or so, I won't be able to take advantage of the special purchase prices and free memberships included with the challenge. I'm not the happiest camper right now. That being said, I'm so thankful to Ed and everyone for the wonderful gift they've given me in this challenged!Jude |

I too would love to see this video. A niche researched in 15 minutes? Sounds too good to be true!
Especially b/c market samurai seems really sluggish as a piece of software. it is still beta though so i try to remember that. I seem to have no shortage of ideas, but I'm having a hard time crunching them all and finding ones that meet the recommended numbers... either surprisingly too big or waaay too micro. must go laterally. look forward to your video. cheers!

No 'but', just don't give up! Negative self-talk is your biggest enemy.
You can easily check if a topic is viable in less than 10 minutes with Market Samarai using the techniques shown in the 30DC once you're more experienced, but don't try to run before you can walk guys ;-) Just be aware that kuzya3k is talking about researching a viable topic, not finding one. I think people try too hard when searching for niche topics. They are all hidden in plain view. Just go into any big magazine store with a pad and paper and write down the titles of every single magazine on sell (That's how I started). You should now have over 100 niche topic ideas that have enough demand for someone to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a magazine about (That's a pretty good indicator enough people will be interested in it!). Fire up MS and start crunching the numbers! It ain't sexy, but I guarantee you will find at least one micro-niche topic that way (Probably dozens in all honesty when you get your eye in and your brain working for you). You really do need to teach your brain (and sub-concious) how to do it, and they will fight you because you are going out of your comfort zone (and they don't like that). But once you do that, you'll find potential new niche topics everywhere you go. Some people have it straight away, some people have to work a little bit harder at it. My sister-in-law was visiting last weekend, and she is uber interested in setting up a 30DC type site, so I taught her a few basic research techniques and within 10 minutes, she had a bunch of great niche topic ideas (Some of them were real beauties as well...damn!) But then she couldn't stop. As soon as she knew what she was looking for and got her eye in, she was finding them everywhere. Practise makes perfect, so keep with it, don't give up, and definitely no more 'buts'! Pete :-)

What I have been doing is going to the bookstore and looking at magazines! there is several ideas in there. I actually enjoy doing this its fun and gives me great ideas. Grab a cup of Joe and browse through some Mags. Typically if there is a magazine on something then their is a buying market.
