30DC in 14 days result £230 or $376.14

Hi 30DC crew,

Thanks for putting such a great free resource together. Its been a life changing experience. I thought internet marketing was down to 'luck' and 'hype' and now I know different!

I started the 30DC on the 19/8 and today is the 1/9 and Ive finished the videos!

A couple of points I'd like to make...

1). Does anyone know what software Ed Dale uses in his Magnificent Symphony video day 1?

2). We put together our website and it got ranked 8th in Google after 5 day.

3). I tweaked some earlier Social Networking Optimization I did through Facebook and the results were good I guess. But as I don't have a reference and the Micro Niche I'm in seems hit and miss it seems difficult to say if its a long term commercially viable market. So in 7 days we've made £280 or $376.14. Is that any good?

I think that's it for now. Any comments or thought would be helpful.

p.s I noticed that the 1st video was watched over 12,000 times and the last one has only be watched about 980 times... Does this really mean that less than 10% finished such a great course?

You're asking if £800 per month is successful?!

do you have any stats that you can share? i.e. traffic, clicks on your pretty link, affiliate sales, ave revenue per sale, was most of your traffic from Facebook etc?

i'm sure everybody would find that info very interesting.

Yeah I might be able to put something like that together. Although I only set up the conversion code on Google Analytics after we had a big rush. My wife has been handling the finances. We generated Facebook fan pages in the micro niche (a while back) and it seems like 30DC just put it all together for us. But would be happy to share. Is there a prize for having the best result? lol...

Let me get the exact amount (I think it might be a little less) and the other details together later today. We are just getting going here then I will post back. Would be interested to hear you thoughts on it.

What's the competition, how many searches per day etc... So people get a sense for what kind of niche you need to find to experience that success.

Those are great results! It seems like you've been doing this a while, maybe not consistently but it helps to have older stuff that you rework and tie everything together for leverage.

Specific info would be helpful. I've add some specific things I've done to get sales in this forum as well, which hopefully is useful to some.

Sorry guys, been super busy. Ok here is the break down so far.

Website launched: Tuesday 25th August
Total visits to date: 1,636
Google Rank: 8th (It was ranking, just checked and now the Facebook Group has just bumped it off page 1 Google.
Top Traffic Source: Facebook
Gross sales to date: £335.39

Will now try to answer your questions.

SEO info, number of keyword 7-10. Google thinks about 1,900 people are searching per month worldwide for this term.

No affiliate sales this was a product my wife and I design and wrote. Ave revenue per sale is about £9.50 however the Total Gross won't equate exactly because one person ordered 10 items at a wholesale price.

Yes, most of our traffic is from Facebook about 80%! Facebook seems to rank really quickly in Google.

Hope that's helpful. I think I've got a few more days left to go so we will see how it works out. Some days there's been sales and others there's been no takers. I guess that's how they bite in this niche.

I think you have every right to feel extremely happy right now with your outcome!

It's a fantastic result. And well done to you and your wife for combining the 30DC strategy with some previous activities you'd undertaken with Facebook.

I'd just recommend you build on that. Whether through your own existing knowledge with IM, or through 30DC+ or IE (when it reopens).

It definitely seems as if you have something viable - so it's about expanding that.
