Talking Two things --ok...Three..

First it is ~Happy Dance~ day for me
I earned my first ~~~drumroll~~~ $23.47 on my 30DC project (site went up on 8/18 so I am consistently behind schedule on everything ha!)

Secondly, I had watched the Tony Robbins video last night (HIGHLY recommend it!!) and the feeling I had as the 'sale' realization kicked in has just reinforced how correct he is in his flow chart of the mindset!!

Finally, while there is a lot of reiteration about this entire process is A BUSINESS and should be treated as such; there is not a whole lot said about Business RECORDS (naturally - being outside the scope!) so I would encourage everybody to be sure they are keeping some type of 'books' on the costs/expenditures/income (mine is a simple columnar pad at this point).
Between the different platforms/actions it can be easy to lose track of 5.00 here or there and (seriously) would be easiest to put it all together from the get-go.
Regardless -- a go or a no go -- there are alot of us that would be able to write off possible biz losses come tax-times and/or when you DO make the income it will be reported above a certain amt. Then you will have a time backtracking the "business" costs.
I only wanted to bring this up in case there are some folks that have overlooked that aspect in the 'passion' of the challenge

<happy dance for me, Caro!!!>

Great news, Andie!!! Congratulations!! And since it's the middle of the night for Caro, I will do a happy dance in your honor! Way to go!!

Relish that first sale "rush" feeling -- and then repeat it over & over & over.

While I was watching the Tony Robbins interview with John Reese and Frank Kern, all I kept thinking was "This is what the 30DC is all about, too." It's a great video, isn't it?!

While we are not allowed to give any legal or tax advice here, you raise an important point. We suggest you get in touch with your own country/state/regions' attorneys or tax professionals for guidance in this matter.

Cheers & congrats again,

Linda

Smile I remember my first sale too!

Although it was before the 30dc, I remember the rush of "I can do this." Although I spent more in Adwords than I profited, I began to see the value of targeted traffic and LOTS of it that we are going to find with the SEO information we learned in the 30dc.

My first niche was a bomb, because it was not enough of a microniche, so I did a lot of DRILLING, and started over today!

Yea to those of you who got their first sale! Very proud of your persistence! I plan to keep going and experience more "a-ha" moments too!

May God bless you all richly!

Kristie
