Thumbs up I just made 700 dollar Sale with what I learned from 30dc!!

As I write this I am seriously shaking with excitement!!! I actually started the 30dc in the middle of Aug. I did it the previous year but I did not stick with it and didn't realize how important the information was!! Last night I was actually at my neighbors house talking about everything that I was learning then I check my email and BAMM! I see I made a sell! right there in my paypal account 700 dollars! You have no idea how much I thank you for this training I'm going to use this money to invest back into this like Market Samurai, WPDirect, and 30dc Plus! Words can't describe how much I thank the 30dc team!

Lyman,
I've been thinking about your great news and my own progress. I'm realizing that I've put myself in some sort of small box. By that I mean I see that I'm thinking small when it comes to the products I might market--like under $100 information products. But then you report $700 in your PayPal account. If that's the comission I assume you must be dealing with a much higher priced prouct.

Without going into any specifics, I was wondering if you'd share as much as you feel comfortable with about your thought process with regard to markets and products. I suspect anything you have to say would help shine the light on the way out of my particular box.

Thanks for considering my request.

Post Thought Process

Well first off I do not limit my thinking in any regards! I go into this with an absolute open mind. The best place to find Markets is in Book Stores in Magazines.

- The best way to make money is to offer your own service or product. Because of this you make all the profit!

- Another great tool to test products is eBay its also a pretty fast way to test to see if your product will sell!

- If your not up to making your own products or providing your own service then after you find a great market find a company that does drop shipping. You can make a great deal of money on drop shipping products.

- Also a very very great tool I use is after you get a good amount of traffic to your site and start using Google adwords make a banner that says something like: ( place your ad here for XXX$) or ( get 70% of Google adwords) lets say you are spending 500 dollars a month on Google adwords. And you get 12 people to advertise on your site for 50 dollars per person! that's 750 dollars a month. So you get Free advertising, Your Ad or product rides Free as well, and you can make money too! Hope this helps you out some.

Wow I'm seriously impressed!

Like Jimtower I've also been going for lower priced products. I've also started to realise that the real money is in your own products rather than selling other people's.

Question: you say you made your own product. How did you market this? I mean, how did you handle the mechanics of selling it. Did you just set up a button on your blog asking people to buy and when the money was released to Paypal they were able to download the ebook (I'm assuming it's a book)?

Did you need to do a lot of coding to organise that sequence of events (buy-button leading to paypal leading to download page). Do you mind sharing the technical aspects of how you organised your shopping cart?
