Finally got some love from Google

I had followed along with the 30dc to learn all the techniques for creating backlinks and optimize your site for google. I have to say I completely ignored the first few videos about choosing a niche because I had already started developing a website before the challenge and I was too stubborn to even think about changing.

Anyways I targeted my keyword which has 6.1 million search results and gets 1.2 million searches a month (at least according to google keyword tracker) and was getting frustrated with trying to get ranked AT ALL for my keyword, but I guess after having the site up for 2 months and a week (and a TON of work), finally got ranked...at number 11!!!

I am so stoked about this and am going to do everything I can to get to number 1.

It was hard writing tons of articles and bookmarking every post and every last thing, not knowing if it was really working, but let me say, that if I could get ranked that high for a competitive keyword like that, it's gotta be much easier to get ranked for other keywords.
