Hi everyone! I've just finished the 30dc this morning, and thought I'd share my experiences here.
First, like many people, it took me a bit longer than 30 days to complete (maybe 45 in all). I had read a little about internet marketing before, but what the 30dc did was walk through all the steps, which is exactly what I needed. As Ed said, it's just the end of the beginning, but what a foundation to start from! Article writing was very time consuming at the beginning, but already, I'm getting much quicker at it. In fact, it's just become part of my day, and it's no big deal any more. 20-30 minutes to spare? Just write another piece and plug it into traffic-bug. Simple. So am I going to retire this year? Well, no, that's a way off. The aim of the 30dc was to earn your very first dollar online. For the first few weeks, I earned nothing, but traffic kept improving until at last, in the final week of the challenge, I earned maybe $35.Think about that: even in the unlikely event that my particular niche site doesn't improve its traffic, it's still $150 more each month, just from one site, and I've already started on two other niches using what I've learned to add to that. Second time around, revisiting the material, it's much quicker to get up and running. So thanks 30dc Team, it's a fantasic training program -- Awesome even! -- and I'm looking forward to August so I can participate properly this year! |
