Traffic Bug & Primary site

I have been listening and re-listening to the wonderful podcasts on link building.

As I understand it, manual link building is best reserved for your main site, and automated systems for all other feeder sites.

My main question however is whether automated systems like Traffic Bug should also be used for your main site, as an addition to manual link building methods OR whether your advise is just never to use automated systems for your main site.

Any advice on this greatly appreciated. I have been too paranoid to enter my main site so far...

You could use / input your main site also into Traffic Bug (a form of link automation system). Then TB submits your site to directories and RSS directories on the internet, thus getting you traffic and backlinks. There is nothing to fear there.

For me, I prefer manual submission for main site. From what I experienced so far, submission to social bookmarking much more faster using social marker or social poster.

I have used Traffic Bug for my main site, feeder sites, e-zine articles, Youtube videos and all my blog posts. It is by far the best tool out there for social bookmarking and getting links.

I'd have to agree with mikehays on this one. TB is by far the best and also the easiest way to do social bookmarking and build links to your site.

Remember that the idea of TB, MS and WPD is simple automation which equals saving time and money. We really should be trying to work smarter and not harder..

One final thing: I'd be lost without these amazing tools.. They are a permanent part of my arsenal.
