30DC Day 10 Introduction

Authority Backlinks From Web 2.0 Sites

Day 10 - Today kicks off Web 2.0 week in the Thirty Day Challenge. During this week we will show you ways to use Web 2.0 properties to get backlinks and natural traffic to your blog. Today we start off the series of lessons looking at article sites.

Caro introduces you to the site EzineArticles, and shows you how to write a keyword optimized article, that you then link back to your blog. Caro takes you through the sign up process and how to get started using the service to submit your first article. Caro also gives some important guidelines on how to ensure your article gets approved, from the quality of the article, making sure your article is over 250 words long, and that your links are best suited to go in the resource box.

Michelle introduces you to the site Scribd, and takes you through the process of signing up for an account. In order to get the best use out the service, Michelle also outlines what you need have in your article to get the most benefit in linking to your blog. Michelle then shows you how to add your document to Scribd, add a category, add your tags related to your keyword phrase, and a short description of your document.

Lastly, Michelle demonstrates the last important step for both EzineArticles and Scribd, which is to add your URLs from each site to Traffic Bug (as a related URL to your main blog URL), and also to Market Samurai's Rank Tracker.

Objective For The Day - After completion of today's lessons, you will have uploaded one of your unique keyword optimized articles to EzineArticles and another one of your unique keyword optimized articles to Scribd, with both articles linking back to your blog URL. You will have also added the unique URLs of both articles to Traffic Bug and Rank Tracker.
