Authority Backlinks From Web 2.0 Sites
Day 11 - Continuing our Web 2.0 week in the Thirty Day Challenge, is the next two sites we'll be using to publish to during Web 2.0 week, Squidoo and HubPages.
Caro introduces you to Squidoo, and shows you how to create a keyword optimized lens, from which you link back to your blog. Caro takes you through the sign up process and how to get started using the service to create your first lens.
Caro also outlines some of the key features of a Squidoo lens that are important to include, such as having at least 3 modules, allowing comments, including the RSS module, and ensuring that your content is unique.
Michelle introduces you to HubPages, and takes you through the process of signing up for an account, including some tips to creating an account with keywords and details related to your micro-niche.
Michelle then shows you how to create a Hub, including tips on how to include your theme keyword when naming your Hub, choosing a topic, adding tags related to your keyword phrase, ensuring that your Hub meets the HubPages guidelines, and how to best name capsules when creating your Hub. Michelle then demonstrates how to create links back to your blog inside the main content area of your Hub.
Objective For The Day - After completion of today's lessons, you will have created a Squidoo lens optimized with your theme keywords and also created your first keyword optimized HubPage, with both pages linking back to your blog URL. You will have also added the unique URLs of both sites to Traffic Bug and Rank Tracker.
